Adsuar Muñiz & Besosa, P.S.C. and Fernández & Pérez-Ochoa, LLP Join Forces
The law firms of Adsuar Muñiz Goyco & Besosa, P.S.C. and Fernandez and Pérez-Ochoa, LLP are pleased to announce that they have merged their respective legal practices under the name Adsuar Muñiz Goyco Seda and Pérez-Ochoa, P.S.C. (“Adsuar Muñiz Goyco” or “AMG”), effective November 13, 2006. AMG is located at Westernbank World Plaza, Suite 1400, in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico.
Adsuar Muñiz Goyco & Besosa, P.S.C. was a full service law firm, with corporate, tax, litigation and labor departments. As the result of the appointment of Francisco Besosa, the former head of its litigation department, as a Federal judge, the firm felt it needed to strengthen its litigation department. Fernandez & Pérez-Ochoa, LLP was a boutique firm specializing in litigation and corporate law, and as such represented a perfect complement to the other practice areas.
The litigation department of AMG will now be managed by Eric Pérez-Ochoa. Eric is a seasoned commercial and civil litigator and the former President of the Puerto Rico Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. The reinvigorated litigation department currently consists of 10 attorneys. The combined firm has 28 attorneys, making it the sixth largest law firm in Puerto Rico, and expects further growth.
The firm’s partners are enthusiastic that as a result of the merger AMG will be able to continue to provide its clients with the same level of high-quality, cost-effective and time-efficient service to which they are accustomed, with even more resources at its disposal.
