Corporate, Securities, Banking and Real Estate Department
The Corporate, Securities and Real Estate Department is directed by Mr. Fernando Goyco. Mr. Enrique Adsuar is a partner who concentrates in corporate, banking and real estate matters. Mr. José A. Fernández-Jaquete is a partner who concentrates on insurance, commercial financing transactions, and real estate matters. Mr. Fernando Goyco and Mr. Nikos Buxeda concentrate on corporate and municipal securities transactions, mergers and acquisitions and commercial financing transactions. Ms. Loyda Rivera and Ms. Katarina Stipec are partners who concentrate on real estate matters and commercial financing transactions. Ms. Myrtelena Díaz and Ms. Emiluz Buonomo are the Department's associate attorneys.
The resources of this Department bring together tax, corporate and securities lawyers experienced in structuring, negotiating and documenting issuances of debt, municipal securities and equity securities in the Puerto Rico market. The group has been in charge of numerous issues of securities, such as Puerto Rico municipal bond issues, stock and debt issuances by Puerto Rico mutual funds, AFICA bond issues (i.e., senior debt and industrial development bonds issued by instrumentalities of the government of Puerto Rico), and preferred stock issuances by Puerto Rico banks.
The Department's lawyers also handle a wide array of banking and business matters, including real estate, leases, financings, intellectual property, regulatory, construction and zoning.
