The Firm offers new associate attorneys the opportunity to become involved in client representation as early and as often as possible. Each new associate attorney joins one of our four practice areas: Corporate, Tax, Litigation and Trial Practice and Labor and Employment. Associate attorneys receive work assignments from the members of the Firm who work in their practice area, and who are responsible for allocating work to all associate attorneys. This system allows the Firm to monitor and continually adjust the quantity and type of work being handled by each associate attorney. Members of the Firm frequently also arrange for assignments from other practice areas if an associate attorney or another practice area so requests.
In addition to periodic feedback from senior attorneys with whom associate attorneys work, associate attorneys meet once a year with a Firm member in their practice area for a comprehensive review and evaluation of their progress. The review focuses on career development and includes an assessment of the type of work assignments or formal training programs that would further each associate attorney's professional development within the Firm.
The Firm hires entry-level law school graduates, as well as experienced attorneys, as needs arise in individual practice areas.
